I'm a sucker for yellow bouquets.
I am fairly convinced that I can make my own bouquet for my wedding...
so I'm on the hunt for inspiration. I wonder if I trust myself to really do this.
(oh, and I don't actually believe I could re-create any of these lil masterpieces...they are just so pretty I had to post 'em)

I'm on the quest to become my own florist too, and in my research I've found that the easiest way to make a good looking final product is to use the same flower, potentially interspersing a few blooms of a secondary flower. But seriously, go for bright yellow roses or dahlias with with 4-6 stems of a second flower.
ReplyDeleteDon't be scared. I made my sister's bouquet for her and i have no formal training. I was so happy with how it turned out, I'm doing my own for my wedding next weekend.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, check out fiftyflowers.com. I used them for my sister's wedding and the flowers arrived on time, in gorgeous condition and were really, really affordable. I have all of my wedding flowers arriving this coming Thursday and couldn't be more excited!
Good luck!
Those are lovely! My mom and her girlfriends from college are doing my bouquets for the wedding. I'll take pictures when they do it and get instructions and send them to you if you'd like.
ReplyDeleteAnd yellow is my new favorite color :)
I love yellow!!! I"ll have to check out the website above b/c I would love to just have yellow and white daisies everywhere for my centerpeices. Easy, simple, and something that you just might find outside if you were on a hike since that's what's inspiring my reception.
ReplyDeleteI know you can make your own bouquet. I'm going to as well. there are a few different sites that include tutorials, including a practical wedding. I'm going to do a trial run about a month before the wedding, to play with the flowers and to time it.
ReplyDeleteThe second one is too gorgeous. Yellow is the epitome of summer and sunshine!
ReplyDeleteYellow flowers are my favorite. They are all so lovely! Happiness in flower form, without a doubt.
ReplyDeleteSunflowers, yellow calla lilies, craspedia and yellow gerberas are all beautiful flowers to awaken the senses!
