Especially the cake toppers by Anne Wood (I know I know...everyone blogs about those...but for good reason...they are fantastic...and probably the only cake topper that doesn't make me want to roll my eyes). Somewhere someone wrote up a diy project for those...hummm...wonder if I can find that....
I made my sister's cake topper in a very similar style and it was so easy and fun. I carved them out of styrofoam balls (from the craft store) pinned on fabric, ribbon, and beads for dresses, ties, and eyes. And a toothpick for the beak. So cute. And you can make them personalized. So, go for it!
