EFF my life.

GODDAMN IT.

Remember two weeks ago?  I got in a multicar pile up after hydroplaning on the I-10?  And it totaled my car?  Well my friends, my "replacement" car started smoking today while I was driving on the freeway.

SMOKING.  FROM THE INSIDE.

FROM THE STEERING WHEEL.

WHAT!?  SERIOUSLY!?

Why?  Why? Why?!

And it happened in a sketchy area of town.  Not ideal.  I had to have it towed to my neighborhood - $$$.  And then I had to pump loads of $$$ into it.  I'm having a straight shitty couple of weeks when it comes to cars.   Oh.  And the radio died last weekend.  So, I haven't had any tunes.  I sing to myself.

I need to quit feeling sorry for myself.

Tomorrow.

  3. Oh, that's no fun at all! May I gently suggest looking into AAA membership before any road-tripping or cross-country moving? One of my friends got a membership for residency interview season and really liked it. It was less than $100, and gave peace of mind. Not only will they help in a car emergency far from home, but they offer a lot of travel and eating out discounts.

Had I thought it through, I'd have done that...instead of having to change my own damaged tire, in the dark, in a bad neighborhood, on the way to an interview. It was "character building", for sure!

  5. @ everyone - thanks for the well wishes. I'm pissed. Ha! But yea...it could always be worse.

@ Weaver - totally have AAA...they have saved my life dozens of times over the years. And they towed my car across town for cheap (something to smile about!)
