more crazy than you know - 36 weeks

this pic turned out a little wild - but I like it!!  Here I am at 36 weeks.  What is bigger than a basketball?  A watermelon?  Dear God.

I haven't mentioned this...but I have to now...because I will be MIA for the next few days.  I have to take my freakin' BOARDS next week.  In Philadelphia.  Pretty much against my Obstetrician's recommendations, as it will be farther than one hour away from my hospital and I will be past the 35 week mark.  She understands why I have to go - but she isn't thrilled about it.

Neither am I.  This is totally not ideal.

But I have to take the boards...they only offer it twice per year (and the next time is when our baby will only be a month or so old...and I KNOW I won't have much studying time, or sleep time, to prepare for that. Not that my crazy nutso schedule has led much time for study this time around either.  *Sigh*  Life has been crazy.

Needless to say, we have mapped out a couple of hospitals in the Philadelphia area so if I go into labor we kinda know where to go..  Our hospital bags are packed just in case...and our carseat is loaded and locked into place.

It really does look like a big watermelon from the side...and seriously...I just love it!!!  It sticks SO FAR OUT of my white coat that I am just amazed whenever I catch a glimpse of myself walking next to a big mirror or reflective surface at the hospital.  These bodies we've been give are soooooooo amazing.
Also...I've noticed that I wear a LOT of black and white

I will be gone until then...vowing to not blog or ANYTHING until my test is over next week.  Prayers would certainly be appreciated....if only to calm my heart. :-)  Oh...and to pass my boards of course.

*btw:  I always post pictures from last week...so this week I'm actually 37 weeks...which is FULL TERM!!  When I sit for me boards I will be 38 weeks...and can literally have her at any minute!!   Can you hear the shrill in my voice?  I'm more than freakin'.  Baby and boards.  What have I gotten myself into!?

  1. You are never one to do things the easy way, my dear. I am holding you in my thoughts and close to my heart.

Best of luck and skill on your boards. Breathe. Relax. You'll do fine.

Note to Baby: It's nice and warm where you are and it's cold outside. We're looking forward to seeing you but don't be in too big of a hurry to arrive.

  4. Wow that is cutting it close! That really sucks that they only have these tests available to do only twice a year!
Good luck while your writing them and hopefully you wont go into labor before or during the test. (if it happens during they should just pass you! )

  8. My sis-in-law took the bar exam right around her due date. She had the baby the next day! You and her are a special kind of tough. good luck! You'll be so glad you took it already when she's a month old and you aren't having to head out to take a test.

  9. I am sure that everything will be fine, I have no worries that you will pass your boards, and baby sits still in the operating room, right? She'll do the same for your test!
