forever

The pictures turned out blurry.  All of them.  And believe me, we took plenty.  We had to - it was the most perfect afternoon I can remember.  It might have been one of the happiest afternoons of my life.  It wasn't anything big or fancy....just an unexpected weekend trip to the park.  But it felt soooo special...as if that day was created for our enjoyment only.  We were the only ones there....and the air was clean and crisp....and well....it just felt magical.  We played with our daughter all afternoon.  We watched her swing.  And giggle.  Her delight made my heart soar.  I decided I wanted her to have the world.

And for some reason..I sit here broken hearted....and a little weepy.  It's just going by so fast.

I want so badly to keep that afternoon.  And I never anticipated blogging about it...but I keep coming back to it.  I challenge myself to remember the details...to keep it as fresh in my memory as possible.

I'm glad we have these blurry pictures.  Treasures.

  1. You need to use a faster speed setting on your camera or switch to the sports mode - it will make your 'action shots' less blurry. Also, you need to check what the picture looks like immediately after you take it to adjust settings. Digital SLRs take amazing pictures, but its hard work!
