Feather's & Frills

I've been browsing shoes lately. It's fun. (Especially with my sister Leslie...the girl is straight mad about darling shoes...)

Surprisingly, I'm loving the ones with the fun stuff glued all over the front of them... the ruffles, the flowers, the feathers. This is interesting because usually I'm quite the plain Jane...and am seriously considering just wearing Chaco's to my own wedding (have you ever worn Chaco's? a life altering experience...for real.)

That's why these shoe clips are beyond bodacious...take a pair of simple shoes and make 'em dazzling.

I'm love love loving these shoe clips from Etsy. It's too hard to pick my favorite.

  1. I changed into Chacos for the reception--possibly the best wedding decision I made!

  2. You could easily change into your Chacos later. I wore foot petals in my shoes (and in all dress shoes that I wear to weddings). They make a HUGE difference! The cheapy ones don't always work as well.

  6. Love, love, love all of these. Especially the ones from Cultivar.
And I am all for changing into something comfy for the reception (I'll be sporting my favorite pair of purple flip flops) no one wants to wake up on the day after their wedding with blisters!

  7. If you're half as fun as I think you are, you'll clip the flowers to your Chacos at the reception!

  8. I may be very lonely in this camp, but I don't like my Chacos...I really wanted to, but they soo don't fit my arches. However, I'm perusing shoes too, and if I can't find comfy, fun mary janes to wear under the dress I'll likely be changing into Birkenstocks for the reception. Anybody here know where a girl might find solid colored, comfy mary janes? (red or pink are the top color picks)

  9. Shoe clips are such a good idea... I was drooling over a pair of strappy gold sandals (w/rosettes) by Chinese Laundry on Zappos.com, and then I realized that if I just made rosettes and added them to my own sandals, they'd look pretty much identical. Those etsy images make me want to add shoe clips to all my shoes!

  10. @ Anonymous: To be honest here, I have one pair of Chacos I would live in forever (like...never take off my feet if I could get away with it). the FLIPS. And...I bought a second, dressier pair, of flip flops, called ECLIPSE, and they are a lil tight on my feet - so they aren't my fave. It's odd that they fit differently.

  11. I loved the one with feathers :D
But I think, for me, it would be better if they were not so long.

  12. those are all so lovely!!!! I decided on jack rogers right before the wedding because it we were having it in a field, but if we had the reception indoors I would have loved to pick out a pair of heels!

  13. Oh dear. Chacos sound like they look. I will be the loner in this but I say get some awesome heels. And then change into Chacos (why do they make me think Cheetos?) at the reception.
