a rad ring...with moving gears!

Tommy and I have been doing a little "dude ring" searching these days.  With 40 days until I put a lil ring on his finger, we need to find said ring.  Thankfully, there are some badass boy rings to choose from.

Currently, I'm a big fan of our new sponsor, Kinekt design.   I've noticed the ring on some blogs around the web...and it is awesome!  It's stainless steal...and it freaking SPINS...and the GEARS MOVE!  That is just cool design...and an amazing conversation piece.  Perfect for the engineer, the mechanic, the handyman...or anyone who played with erector kits when they were little.  They only come in men's sizes now, but new sizes are underway for girly fingers too!  But anyway...check this video...to see the ring in action.  (You know you want to see it spin.)

The price is sweet too...I think it was $165.  And comes with a lifetime guarantee.  I'm not really sure you can beat that.  Anywhere.

We were at dinner a couple weeks ago with a bunch of our married friends.  Wedding rings came into the convo as the plans for our wedding came up *grin*.  All the guys were saying that the prices of their wedding rings were upwards of $700!!  Yikes.  And theirs don't even spin. Or have gears.  Or anything.

I bet your man would drool over this too.  (or maybe you're drooling over it...like me.)

  1. That ring is beyond awesome. I can already see my fiance spinning it out of habit or boredom. Shoot, I want one!

  3. Love it, it's unique, it's fun, it's not expensive - but I can already see I would develop a serious habit of spinning it. I sometimes catch myself spinning my engagement ring. No bueno. Maybe Tommy is less OCD inclined.

  4. My FH and I are going to have to start saving up for this one. He's been searching for something that either has gears or moves, but two weeks ago we gave up and settled for something else (for a steal of a price though). If I had the money, I would absolutely get this and surprise him with it. Sadly, we're already stretched too thin, but maybe by our first anniversary.

  7. that is so awesome!!! I love neat little finds like that.

neither of us is really a ring-wearer, so my TOTAL budget for rings is $150. (just for the ceremony really). But if we did wear rings, this would totally be an option!

  9. Okay, I am more amazed that Amanda's guy was actually searching for a ring with gears, than I am that such a ring exists. LOL!

  11. @Lori, he saw a ring on etsy with watch gears on it, fell in love but didn't jump in time. He's been looking for something similar ever since.
