It's all I have to bring to-day,
This, and my heart beside,
This, and my heart, and all the fields,
And all the meadows wide.
Be sure you count, should I forget,
Someone the sum could tell,
This, and my heart, and all the bees
This, and my heart beside,
This, and my heart, and all the fields,
And all the meadows wide.
Be sure you count, should I forget,
Someone the sum could tell,
This, and my heart, and all the bees
Which in the clover dwell.
- Emily Dickinson
*note: yesterday the weather was glorious...mid 60s...the snow had melted,
the sun was out and everyone was talking about spring. Being from
Arizona, the "spring" never really comes...it just always is...so I'm
looking forward to experiencing the pop of green and the color of the flowers!
Then today hit...and it's been snowing non-stop...and it's windy and winter again.
Spring is closer...just not yet.
You have a beautiful blog!
ReplyDeleteYou need to make yourself a facebook page so I can add you to my page's favourites. I have decided to find the best and most lovely eco wedding blogs and such to create a circle... let me know if you are interested :)

Emily Dickinson has company in you: "Spring is closer...just not yet." A lovely phrase!
ReplyDeleteI love this bit by Ms. Dickinson! So pretty.
ReplyDeleteenjoy the random days of sunshine thrown into the winter mix. Not to be a downer- spring to Upstate NY is still a long time coming. But, yes, moving there after 4 years in NM, spring took on a whole new meaning, everyday there is something new and colorful and GREEN to look at. Enjoy
ReplyDeleteI've always loved Emily Dickinson's poetry.
