He also took out the bumGenius cloth diapers and lined them up, ready for wash |
He cleaned the baby sheets that we just got in the mail and all her baby blankets. Then he put my fave sheets on the crib bed...and I about died when I saw it because the fabric is so stinkin' cute! |
Tommy spent the entire day preparing for baby. He washed a bunch of the baby's blankets, clothes and bed sheets in special baby laundry detergent (Dreft). He laid out all of her softest clothes on the guest bed in the nursery (to see what we have and to help us pick out her "going home outfit")... then he put the sheet and mattress pad on the bed...lined up all the cloth diapers...folded all her freshly cleaned receiving blankets in the closet and clipped on the first toy to the car seat.
He also got out our duffel bags to pack our "hospital stay stuff" - and went to online websites to find out what we needed to bring with us (all of those things need to be cleaned in special baby friendly laundry detergent too). He wrote me out of a list of things I need to put in the bag - as he thought about packing the bag for me and then realized that I tend to be a lil too picky for that. This isn't even all - he also called around town to find the best pediatrician in the area and booked him for us. His organization is blowing me away these days. He is clearly psyched.
I didn't anticipate having a nester husband. I think it's the cutest thing ever!!
She is DUE in one month (March 15). Omg.
Wow, you and baby are so lucky to have a sweetheart like Tommy in your lives.
ReplyDeleteI want to see the sheets now. : )
My dear, you NEED a nester husband right now. And THANK GOD you have a man who stepped up to the plate.
ReplyDeleteHe is ORGANIZED!
Wow - impressive Tommy! But you'll be having the baby March 11th...remember...I thought we discussed this... ;)
ReplyDeleteI totally teared up! Lol! That is SO incredibly sweet of him- and I think you needed that about now. You're too crazy busy with work and growin that little one to worry about the finer details! I'm glad he did all that for you. :)
ReplyDeleteMost of all, I'm in shock over the fact that you're one month from your due date! How did that happen???
The boy is so cute! And how are you nearly due already? Time has gone so fast! I'm so exited for you guys. You're both adorable xx
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! This is the cutest and most romantic thing I have ever read. You've got yourself a winner there (as if you didn't already know)!
ReplyDeleteI love the onesie with the ducks on it :)
So stinking cute! My mom and I just got the biggest kick out of this! Countdown time!
ReplyDeleteHow awesome is that!!! So excited for you and your little family!! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh... I am loving it! By the way, if you have her on the 15th, she'll have my dad's birthday. The Ides of March-- it's a good day!
ReplyDeleteMy youngest turns 2 on March 13th. Perhaps she'll share a birthday w/ your new little one! You never know. :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. I think it's awesome that you're starting out with such a bountiful collection of cloth diapers.
